We are teaching children to take care of their health

Coordinator Rudolf Rusňák during health awareness lesson
During the second week of March, the need for health education in schools in Eastern Slovakia emerged again after some time. Coordinator Rudolf Rusňák responded very flexibly to the increased incidence of hepatitis A in the villages Boliarov, Vtáčkovce, Kecerovce and Rankovce. Educational activities and lessons at schools were carried out together with the Roma Health Mediators- Gréta Balogová, David Rybár and Marián Pecha. They focused mainly on raising awareness about importance of hygiene and prevention of hepatitis A. For their attention and interest to learn something new, the children received practical rewards- books, soaps, etc.
Special school in Moldava nad Bodvou also expressed interest in health education for their students- focusing on prevention of substance abuse. The school employees and management values our work very much, and even published photos of lectures on this link: https://szs-vtackovce.edupage.org/photos/?photo=album&gallery=13#gallery/13
